Six Feet Under, where have you been all my life? How could I have missed this gem of a show? Thank god for Netflix to see the error of my ways.

Also, in related news: Michael C. Hall is hot. Another thing I have missed all these years.

I wish Buffy had let Dawn jump. I might actually been able to make it through two more seasons without Dawn. Watching season 5 brings out memories of why I bailed out after Giles left in season 6. 

I couldn't help myself, I just had to order me a sheet of those stamps

Watching 'How It's Made' on the Discovery channel and they are showing a laser eye surgery. The whole thing. It's like a train wreck, I can't look away from the screen, cringing my way through it. It's interesting though, freaky, but interesting.

Watching the 'cleaned up' version of Pulp Fiction. It's fun to spot all the spots it's been dubbed over/edited, it helps I'm pretty familiar with the uncensored version. I flove the soundtrack so much.

Went to see Kung Fu Panda the other day, it's a really cute movie and I'll recommend it.

One big happy family

How do I keep ending up watching these reality shows? Really why? Because most of them, mostly the ones not called AI, suck.

 I watch the Next Food Network Star. A show that trusts their viewers judgement so much, that they are not allowed to vote for the winner anymore, unlike last year when they didn't get the winner they wanted(still funny).

The contestants have to do challenges, most of which are based on successful FN shows, which is fine, but it's all executed in a clumsy way. It's reassuring that I still dislike the judges, with the exception of Bobby Flay, who continues to grow on me. If I were in charge of the show, I would have Alton host it(I watch everything Alton, which is why I started watching this last year in the first place), but I'm sure he has a thingy in his contract which says that he doesn't have to do more than a few episodes of this trainwreck.

So, why do I watch? I have no idea really. It's fun to hate people, and there are two contestants that I hate, one started out really bad but is very slowly redeeming herself and the other I just flat out hate because she thinks she's better than she really is. It's fun to root for people, and I sort of do root for two of the guys. They are the only ones I'd might watch if they get their own show on FN, which is what the winner gets.

However, I still haven't forgiven this show for unleashing Guy Fieri on me. Hate. Lots and lots of hate.

I don't know why, but we had three wedding cakes for this weekend. Weird.

I'm getting sick of the thunderstorms. I think we have one at least once a day. City is getting ready for a flooding, which according to the weather channel is supposed to happen on Monday. Awesome.


edited to add that as of right now, I obviously still have power. Jay is at the store( to do some extra work), which has been out of power for about an hour now. The emergency generators just kicked in. He also said that the store is hard to get to due to massive amounts of water in front of the entry ways. It's still thundering, has been since about 4pm.

So Jason took Cookie to the vet today for shots and stuff. He said that the vet thinks she's not even a year old, because of her teeth. 

Crap, I think I twisted my ankle this afternoon. I was trying to coax the dog back into the house, stepped outside and somehow managed to slip off one of the steps and fell down. It hurts :(

Saw Indy 4 finally today. I loved it. It's not Raiders, but let's face it, what is. Loved seeing Karen Allen back, she's always been my favorite Indy girl, and she looked great. Loved Shia LeBeouf(never thought I would say that lol), loved John Hurt, who looks so much better when there isn't an alien bursting from his chest, and also loved Cate Blanchett.

I got a big kick out of the little glimpse of the 'Ark of the Covenant' from Raiders at the beginning of the movie.

The movie flew by and there were barely any moments to go to the bathroom, you all know the kind of scene's I'm talking about, the boring ones lol. Harrison looks fantastic for a man his age and I was very happy to see that they allowed Indy to 'get old' as well(though they might have forgotten about this whole 'immortal' thing he has going on since Crusades)



Oh one more thing, Steven and George, if you ever need cash again, re-release Raiders. I would love to be able to go and see that one in the theater.

Guess what I'll be watching tomorrow on my day off... *starts whistling the Indy theme*

Interesting EW story about our 'Spoiler culture'. It sort of made me feel bad for especially Darlton, because for two years running the season finale managed to get spoiled in detail before airing.

Benjamin Linus, I know you are a sort-of evil genius and all, but I'd still would like to have your babies. I love Ben so much, I don't think I've ever loved a non-original character on any show as much as I love Ben. Darlton were geniuses when they came up with his character, Michael Emerson needs an Emmy like yesterday.
